„What others accomplish within a few days, you have to accomplish within 24 hours“, that is how Roland Waldner explained the task to the youngsters, who attended the first Innovation-Marathon in Villach to work on Innovation projects of 11 different companies.

Until 12 PM, the challenges were explained, until 4:30 PM intense research was done. Then a phase of preparation for idea creation followed, which lasted until 6:30 PM. From a big break to reload the energies, the Innovation-Marathon went into the idea creation phase, until finally a few concepts were picked out from the rest at midnight. The students had time to design until 8 in the morning. Then, finally, the concepts were presented to the companies. If this not a marathon… what is then?

What resulted from this? Over 1500 ideas, 11 concrete solutions and 55 proud students with a slight sleep deprivation.
