Most student competitions give you a fictional case. At the TU Austria Innovation Marathon, leading Austrian companies bring their actual unsolved problems — and you tackle them for real, in 24 hours, with a team you've never worked with before. No grades. No right answers. Just your thinking, your team, and a stage in front of Austria's research and innovation community.

Then the TU Austria Innovation-Marathon is just right for you! 🫵

At the Innovation-Marathon, you will work in interdisciplinary teams on real industry challenges. In the race for the best ideas, you will experience first-hand what is possible in 24 hours in a team with different professional backgrounds and a wide range of skills. Our innovation coaches will support you with a wide range of tools and methods. Finally, you will present your ideas on the "Technology Talks Austria" stage in front of Austria's innovation and research community.​​​​​​

⏳The Schedule 

September 1, 15:30 - 17:30 - Online-Kick-Off 

•  (8 days before the event) Get to know your teammates and company partners in a first team-building session.

September 9 (Wednesday)

•  8:00 We meet at mumok Vienna. YES! Inside Vienna's Museum of Modern Art (mumok) we will work together - after a short refreshment. 

•  8:30 Let´s go - the clock is ticking!
  Let's go, the clock is ticking! You will work intensively on your tasks with the best culinary care and methodical support. Our innovation coaches will be there for you the whole time, with a break during the night to recharge  ​​

September 10 (Thursday) 13:00 Gonggggg!!
Time is up. Ideas are collected, concepts are selected, the presentation is perfected, the big stage of the "Technology Talks Austria" is prepared for you!
You present your results in front of the Austrian research and development community - the applause is all yours!

🥳After the presentation, you can round off the day at the festive evening event and celebrate your joint success.

September 11 (Friday) 8:00 "TU Austria Talents-Breakfast":

Get to know the other companies too - in lively, open, honest presentations! Afterwards there will be time for an exchange with the company representatives.
